The participation of the C&E group in the 76th RILEM Annual Week and International Conference

(17-10-2022)

Last September, several members of the “Concrete and Environment” research group and some additional colleagues from the Magnel Vandepitte Laboratory participated in the 76th RILEM Annual Week and International Conference on Regeneration and Conservation of Structures that took place in Kyoto, Japan. The event provided a great opportunity to present the advancements and the goals achieved by the team, represented by the head professor Nele De Belie and about ten postdoctoral and Ph.D. researchers. Ranging from concrete containing GGBFS based hybrid binder and recycled aggregates up to Self-Healing technologies applied for cement-based materials, the researchers gave an outlook about how the future of the construction sector could be shaped.
