Biography

Tom Beernaert obtained his master’s degree in Business Engineering (Finance, summa cum laude) from Ghent University in 2020. He worked as a quantitative financial risk consultant at EY before joining the Department of Accounting, Corporate Finance and Taxation of Ghent University in 2021 as a PhD researcher. Tom’s research, under the supervision of prof. dr. Sophie Manigart and prof. dr. Miguel Meuleman, is focussed on sustainable finance.
