Webinar Ilse Ruyssen

This book deals with the major challenges of migration in the Global South and their governance. Written by authors with a sound academic background and professional involvement in policy relevant research, the volume focuses on priorities in the implementation of the Global Compact in the Global South. It is addressed to a broad readership interested or involved in international migration governance, development studies, and regional studies, from a research as well as a policy perspective.

During the book launch webinar, the authors will present the key findings related to regional integration and migration governance in the Global South after which Ms. Maureen Achieng (Chief of Mission IOM Ethiopia and Representative to the African Union and United Nations Economic Commission for Africa) will give her views on the priorities of migration governance in the Global South so as to open up the discussion with the authors and audience.

Speakers: Ilse Ruyssen (UNU-CRIS), Melissa Siegel (UNU-MERIT), Richa Shivakoti (Ryerson University), and Maud Martens (IES – VUB)
