Symposium rond chemogenetische en optogentische modulatie van de hersenen met keynote lectures en projectvoorstellen van doctoraatsstudenten

Amie is a longstanding collaboration between the research groups of Prof. Paul Boon from Ghent University and Prof. Ilse Smolders from the Free University Brussels.

AMIE stands for 'Alliance for MODULATION in EPILEPSY' and performs preclinical, clinical and translational research in the field of epilepsy and its comorbidities. The researchers in AMIE have yearly closed meetings where phd-students and postdocs present their projects and results.

This year AMIE organises a symposium dedicated to one of our core research topics 'chemo and optogenetics to modulate brain activity'.

Keynote speakers from around the world have been invited to give lectures and phd-students from UGent and VUB will present their work.
