Bioinformatics is an interdisciplinary domain in which molecular data are mined with state-of-the art statistical and computer science techniques to answer fundamental or applied biological and biomedical questions. UGent offers a Master of Science in Bioinformatics which - depending on the chosen track - can result in an Engineer’s or Bioscience Engineer’s degree.

During the info session, the master program will be presented, and the relevance of bioinformatics and computational biology in the industry will be illustrated by a speaker from Bayer Crop Science. Afterwards, there is the opportunity to ask questions and to talk with current students, doctoral students and graduates in bioinformatics.
