A unique contest bringing together students in law, IT and economics. Create market potential with tech solutions for legal problems.

During the 2nd Ghent University Legal Techathon, technology and law are combined in an innovative way. Students and researchers in law, technology, economics or other fields of study work together to create a technical solution for a legal problem.

Within 36 hours participants go from problem to prototype with the help of experienced and renowned coaches. On Sunday the solution is pitched to a jury. The winning team will be rewarded with a prize of 2.500 euros awarded by law firm De Groote – De Man, that received the 2017 award for most innovative law business by the Financial Times.

Furthermore, the winning team gains access to the ‘pitch round’ of the Expedition DO! selection process to further develop their techathon idea.

Apply before 7 November, participation is based on a basic selection process. No prior knowledge is needed.
