Doctoral school hot topic lecture and workshop regarding the cost-effectiveness of mental health care interventions.

Calculating actual cost-effectiveness is essential as it provides awareness regarding the potential influence researcher’s work might have on mental health care. However, there is also an ethical caveat in evaluating every intervention in terms of cost-effectiveness.

During this lecture and plenary discussion attention will be paid to the usefulness, added value, as well as pitfalls in working with costs associated with (Quality Adjusted) Life Years (QA)LYs).

After the lecture, participants have the unique opportunity to learn how to calculate and take into account the cost-effectiveness of interventions.

The programme contains:

  • A key note lecture by Prof. Lieven Annemans
  • A lively discussion moderated by Dr. Melissa De Smet and Dr. Femke Truijens
  • The unique opportunity to participate in a workshop (limited seats)

Participation is free but registration is mandatory: https://webappsx.ugent.be/eventManager/events/healtheconomy
