Announcement and registration for the closing conference of 'Van Eyck. An Optical Revolution'

As the largest ever exhibition of the work of Jan Van Eyck (February 1st – April 30th, 2020) draws to a close, scholarship gets the final word. Ghent University, at the forefront of the study of Van Eyck and the scientific partner of the exhibition, brings international experts of Art History and Medieval Studies to Ghent for a closing conference. The conference will be organised with the university’s core partners in the Van Eyck year, the Ghent Museum of Fine Arts and Musea Brugge.
The conference is organised by the Henri Pirenne Institute for Medieval Studies at Ghent University and the Ghent Museum of Fine Arts.

Monday evening (19:00 – 21:30): an exclusive after-hours event at the Museum of Fine Arts, with private viewing. Tuesday: a full-day conference in the Ghent University Aula with no less than six papers by internationally renowned experts from Art History and Medieval Studies.
