Through monthly Library Lunches, the Faculty Library offers a platform for new developments in humanities research.

Come and join our 'library lunches' at the Faculty Library of Arts and Philosophy: short 'talks' given by expert speakers at the intersection of research and the library. The Coronavirus has forced us to close down the Faculty Library for the foreseeable future, but that does not stop us from providing you another learning opportunity through our very first virtual library lunch!

Via Zoom, Professor Ruben Verborgh guides us through the "Wilderness of the Web". He talks about Open Linked Data, and about the tension between aggregation and decentralization of data on the Web. In this light, he presents the new Mellon project in collaboration with Herbert Van de Sompel on decentralized scientific communication.

Follow Professor Verborgh's talk live on Tuesday 31/03 at 13:30h via this link.

Tip: if you are using Zoom for the first time, it is best to call in 10 minutes in advance.
