Find out how the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, a milestone document of 75 years, can provide solutions to a changed world.

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights celebrates its 75th anniversary this year. It is unquestionably one of the most important texts of the last century. But how can a 75-year-old document provide answers to a world that is in many ways different from before? How do human rights relate to migration, food shortages and food security in 2023? And what about new, complex challenges such as climate change, digitisation and AI?

These challenging questions are the focus of the international inter- and transdisciplinary conference of the Human Rights Research Network, which will take place from Wednesday 6 to Friday 8 December 2023 at Ghent University.

National and international experts, activists, students, artists and practitioners from different disciplines will discuss human rights and the Universal Declaration.
