Lecture by Prof Nicky Whiffin

Prof Nicky Whiffin is an Associate Professor at the Big Data Institute and the Wellcome Centre for Human Genetics at the University of Oxford. She is also a Research Fellow at St Anne’s College with the Centre for Personalised Medicine, and a visiting scientist at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard.

Prof Whiffin leads the Computational Rare Disease Genomics group (https://rarediseasegenomics.org). The group uses computational approaches and large genomic datasets to uncover novel genetic variants that cause rare disease, and understand the mechanisms through which they do so.
