Join us for a one-day international symposium exploring the dynamic and defiant voices of women in East European and Baltic literature.

Through keynote lectures, panel discussions, and open dialogue, the event delves into how female authors and cultural figures challenge dominant narratives, reclaim identities, and reshape literary and political landscapes. Featuring scholars and writers from across Europe, the program highlights themes such as feminist existentialism, cultural subversion, gender representation, and the politics of memory and identity.

Keynote Speakers:

  • Dr. Ksenia Kuzminykh (University of Göttingen)
  • Dr. Eret Talviste (Tartu University)

Special Guests and Panelists: Researchers and writers from KU Leuven, Ghent University, and beyond, including student voices and civic representatives from the City of Ghent.

All are welcome — scholars, students, and anyone interested in literature, gender studies, and cultural transformation.
