Vote for your 'Science Talent 2016'

(25-08-2016) New Scientist magazine has nominated 25 top talents for Science Talent 2016, the election of the best science talent of Belgium and the Netherlands. You can vote until 8 September.

Three promising Ghent University researchers adorn the list:

  • Chris Callewaert (Faculty of Bioscience Engineering) is looking for a solution to unpleasant underarm odors.
  • Ferdi De Ville (Faculty of Political and Social Sciences) examines how negotiations on the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership TTIP affects the public opinion.
  • Pieter Mestdagh (Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences) conducts research into the link between specific parts of DNA and different types of cancer.

Vote for your favorite candidate or read more about their research (Dutch). You can vote until 8 September. The winner will be announced on 22 September.
