Studying the impact of COVID-19 on migrants and refugees

  • Short description: The aim of this research is to learn about how COVID-19 is experienced by migrants and refugees and how they deal with it. The results of this study will be used to inform and support policy makers and practitioners across the EU to better support migrants and refugees to deal with this global health crisis, for example in relation to access to information, access to health care or psychological suffering.
  • Target group: migrants and refugees in 10 European countries (Belgium, Denmark, France, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom).

Domestic violence in Belgium in times of corona

  • Short description: corona measures such as staying at home and keeping your distance cause tension and stress, which can increase the risk of aggression. Ghent University researchers want to map if  the corona crisis also become a domestic violence crisis?
