Visiting fellow dr. Ekaterina Borisova shares her experiences about her research stay at Ghent University.
(23-11-2022) Ekaterina conducted research at the Department of Economics in the framework of the Eureast Platform’s short-term fellowship program.
Ekaterina Borisova is the current recipient of the STaRS 2022 grant entitled "Hosting Young Researchers of the Future" at the University of Lille in France's LEM (Lille Économie et Management) research center. In 2018, Ekaterina served as a postdoctoral fellow at Ghent University. Since then, she has worked on various research projects in collaboration with Prof. Koen Schoors and other academics from
She has been employed since 2012 as an assistant professor in the Department of Economics at Moscow, Russia’s Higher School of Economics (HSE), as well as a guest lecturer at Moscow State University. She has been serving as the deputy director of the HSE International Center for the Study of Institutions and Development in Moscow since 2017.
Ekaterina continued her research on projects and several papers that are now being reviewed by journals with the colleagues from the Department of Economics during her visiting fellowship visit at Ghent University from March until May 2022. As Ekaterina works on joint projects with other partner organizations like the Ifo Institute in Munich, which also engaged in the collaborative research of Prof. Koen Schoors and other colleagues, this relationship appears to be rather successful. She just delivered their joint presentation on regulating demand, trust, and fear at Université libre de Bruxelles (Belgium). Dr. Borisova: "Our ongoing collaboration is rather intense, therefore the research stay in Ghent was helpful to both parties."
