PhD-student Julianah Olayemi Odukoya wins ‘best video award’ for mycotoxin dissemination in Africa


We are delighted to announce that Mrs. Julianah Olayemi Odukoya, joint PhD of Ghent University (FFW) & University of Johannesburg, won the ‘best video award’ for her dissemination video on mycotoxins.
This award was given by Michigan State University in collaboration with the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta. Julianah’s PhD, supervised by the CoE in Mycotoxicology and Public Health, is in the framework of the EU Horizon2020 LEAP-Agri projects, more specifically the MYCOSAFE-SOUTH project.
MYCOSAFE-SOUTH aims to identify safe and efficient mitigation strategies to reduce aflatoxins and fumonisins exposure in Africa, with special focus on children. One of the key tasks is to disseminate our academic knowledge to the local African communities to create societal impact.
