Biography

Emma De Coster started studying Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2017 and obtained in 2020 her Bachelor’s degree with greatest distinction. Subsequently, she started the Master of Science in Drug Development and graduated in 2022 with great distinction. She performed her master thesis titled: “In vivo evaluation of radiotracer 18F-AlF-PSMA-11 for targeted imaging of prostate cancer” at the Laboratory of Radiopharmacy at Ghent University. In October 2022, Emma started her PhD in the laboratory for General Biochemistry and Physical Pharmacy under supervision of Prof. Dr. Katrien Remaut and Dr. Karen Peynshaert. She obtained a grant as a Ph.D. fellowship of the Research Foundation-Flanders (FWO).

Ophthalmology, retinal drug delivery, ocular drug delivery barriers, retinal ganglion cells, photoporation, photobiomodulation
