Biography

Inès De Hoon obtained the degree of Master in Drug development in 2020 at the University of Antwerp. In her master dissertation at the University of Porto she investigated the delivery of promising antimicrobials by using nanoparticles. In 2020 she received a Marie curie COFUND PhD fellowship and started as a PhD student at the University of Ghent and Lille. Her research, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Stefaan C. De Smedt and Dr. Félix Sauvage, mainly focusses on the topical administration of nanoparticles for the treatment of corneal diseases and cataract via a non-invasive approach.
