Impact of Critical Illness on Drug Disposition in Neonates and Children

Project 1 Impact of Critical Illness on Drug Disposition in Neonates and Children

Description

Drug disposition is driven by physiological processes of growth and development. In critically ill children, pathophysiological and treatment induced changes can also lead to alterations in PK. In this project, we investigate disposition of various drugs in children admitted to the neonatal and pediatric ICU, in order to derive evidence-based dosing regimens

Funding

This ICU research project are embedded within the Flemish interuniversity safepedrug consortium (www.safepedrug.eu) and in close collaboration with clinicians from the neonatal and pediatric ICU unit
