During this Knowledge 2 Connect lunch seminar, you will learn how to turn your research into a powerful story that hold people’s attention. This inspiring talk is packed with real-life examples and illustrations from a researcher in the field of Medicine and Health Sciences.
During this seminar, Dr. Hetty Helsmoortel will give hands-on tips and tricks to communicate science with a non-scientific audience and make an impact on stakeholders who could benefit from your research results. Hetty will touch upon scientific communication through storytelling, how to appear on the radio/television or in the newspaper, on blogs, on science podcasts, etc.

Guest speaker: Dr. Hetty Helsmoortel is a post-doctoral researcher in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (Ghent University). She has been credited for her numerous and diverse media appearances for various audiences, for example on De Afspraak (Canvas). She has received awards and acknowledgements for her enthusiastic, clear and accurate explanations of difficult subjects.
