Faculty club

The Faculty club of Ghent University is situated in culture and convention center Het Pand. Access is restricted to members and their guests.


An extensive selection of national and international newspapers and magazines available at Club Het Pand.

Coffee, tea and water are free of charge for members of the Faculty Club. Other drinks can be purchased at normal rates.

Members who like the quiet atmosphere of the Bibliotheca Dominicana, can read their newspaper or magazine here.

The Faculty Club is open during opening business hours of Het Pand.

Forum lectures

Each year the Faculty Club forum four lectures for its members.

  • 13-03-2012: Intelligent Textiel, een huis voor de toekomst - door prof Lieva Van Langenhove, faculty of Engineering and Architecture

New Year's reception

Every year the Faculty club organizes a new year's lecture followed by an informal drink.


Membership of the Faculty club is restricted tot certain categories of staff. The membership fee is 40 euros. This membership is for life.

(Retired) employees who wish to join should contact the Communication Office (see below).
