Cune-iiif-orm
The oldest libraries that we know of stood in Mesopotamia and Babylonia. From some of these libraries we have a part of the books. They consist of clay tablets that were found from the end of the 19th century onwards during excavations in present-day Iran and Iraq. The Royal Museums of Art and History in Brussels preserve some 300 copies.
With the CUNE-IIIF-ORM project, financed by BELSPO, we want to make part of that collection accessible via IIIF (International Image Interoperability Framework)
Apart from the RMAH and KULeuven, the Faculty Library of Arts and Philosophy cooperates within Ghent University with the Department of Languages and Cultures, Ghent CDH, LT3 and IdLab.
