  • You can request books for borrowing. To do so, use the Prepare for loan button in the catalogue. You will be notified as soon as the work is ready for you. You can collect your requested work(s) from the shelves located near the entrance of respectively wing Magnel (collections (applied) linguistics & literature, languages & cultures) or wing Loveling (collections history, art sciences, philosophy and archaeology). The work has already been registered in your name so you can simply take it with you.
  • Scans can also be requested (up to 50 pages). You can request the work by using the button Get a chapter scanned in the catalogue.
For educational purposes, lecturers can also have complete works scanned.
  • For renewals, please send an e-mail to lib.flw@ugent.be.
  • Works can be returned by leaving them on the return cart in front of the Magnel or Loveling entrance.
  • If you would like to browse the collection: see below Visiting the library.
