Objective:
This course is aimed at improving the presentation skills for academic conferences in English.
Content: This module of the Conference Skills trajectory investigates the basic skills for a successful academic presentation. The course starts by analyzing the main structure and evaluating alternative eye-catchers. Afterwards, it discusses proper body language and voice use. At the end, tips and tricks for a well-executed question round are provided. In the final session, the students give a miniature presentation on which they receive feedback from both their peers and their lecturer.

Evaluation and testing:
The students give a short presentation. The course may count toward doctoral schooling (2 credits).
