Haydi Türkçe konusalim! Let’s talk Turkish! That is after all the main objective of this course.

Turkish is becoming increasingly popular. Not only is Turkey a favourite holiday destination for many Belgians, many Belgians would like to get to know and speak the language of their neighbour or local shopkeeper. The University Language Centre aims to meet that need by offering you a set of Turkish courses.

Level 1 offers basic knowledge of grammar and vocabulary, both set in realistic contexts and practiced using communicative and interactive assignments. Most attention goes to common words and structures.

Themes covered in the course include: meet and Greet, saying goodbye, introducing yourself, asking simple questions on people’s lives, food and drink, in the restaurant, colours, numbers, etc.
