How to learn your child screen-discipline

The holiday is a time of doing nothing for your children. But for some, "doing nothing" is limited to staring at a smartphone, tablet or other screen for hours. A difficult problem that many parents struggle with. Because when is it too much? Prof. dr. Lieven De Marez: "There is no exact science: it's not like fever, where the threshold is at 37.2 degrees. It is a way for kids to keep in touch with friends from school. But you need to keep a close eye on your children. It becomes a problem when a child becomes too dependent on that tablet. When it grasps the tablet at any time, becomes socially isolated, reduces personal hygiene and the results in school deteriorate, it's time to intervene. Otherwise they breed an addiction."
