Book presentation of 'Man versus Machine' - Artificial Intelligence unraveled

05-03-2021 from 19:30 to 21:00

Artificial intelligence (AI) is entering our reality at a dizzying speed. It appears not only in our daily lives, but also in the different business sectors. This raises many questions. What can AI do? What not? And to what extent is AI really intelligent and an added value for our way of life?

Geertrui Mieke De Ketelaere explains the basic concepts of AI in an accessible and transparent manner in her book Man versus Machine (Pelckmans, 2020). For this online debate Mieke has invited a few carefully selected experts: Steven Latré (UA), Lieven De Marez and An Jacobs (VUB). They will debate online, which gives you the opportunity to gain more insight into the many opportunities that AI offers, but also to understand where the possible risks lies. You also get the opportunity to ask questions (in advance) to the panel, whether it is about AI in the present or AI in the future. And Francis wyffels takes us behind the scenes of Dwengo, the charity chosen for the book's proceeds.
