How to make digital public services more user-centric and efficient?

(30-08-2019) Watch the CITADEL project video here! CITADEL, an EU-project focused on transforming the public sector to make more efficient, inclusive and citizen-centric public services, is nearing its end and released a short informational video.

Public administrations and institutions in the European Union should be open, efficient and inclusive, providing borderless, personalised, user-friendly, end-to-end digital public services to all citizens and businesses in the EU. In order to support this goal, the CITADEL-project focuses on transforming the public sector to make more efficient, inclusive and citizen-centric public services that identify new or unsatisfied needs more quickly and that satisfy these needs more effectively and in an inclusive way.

CITADEL wants to empower Public Administrations to improve their offering and the engagement of citizens and other subjects (i.e., the private sector), as well as to foster cooperation among the Public Administrations and the users of its services. We at imec-mict-UGent participated in the project by setting up and fine-tuning the use-cases, by iteratively evaluating the project outcomes, and by leading the use-case validation activities (technology validated in relevant environments).
