Researchers from imec-mict-UGent collaborated on the Al Barometer, which was commissioned by the Department of Economy, Science, and innovation (ESI). This Al Barometer maps the adoption, use and competence in Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Flemish businesses.

Almost one-quarter (23.3 percent) of Flemish businesses use at least one Al technology in their business operations. Al technology implementation influence on the competitiveness of Flemish enterprises. The most significant barrier to adopting AI technology is a lack of information, skills, and competency within the organization. These are some of the conclusions of the report.
