The City of Ghent grants 200.000 euros to a next cycle of the 'City of People' project to develop a better approach to dyslexia and dyscalculia

(18-09-2019) The imec-mict-UGent research group is joining forces with imec-IDLab-UGent, imec APLL, Artevelde university college Ghent, Education Center Ghent and the City of Ghent to develop innovative solutions for people with dyslexia and dyscalculia.

The project 'Inclusion 4D' (in Dutch: Thresholds, Diversity, Dyslexia and Dyscalculia) aims to generate a better understanding and a better approach of dyslexia / dyscalculia. The various project partners strive for a technology-supported solution that can provide more insights into the problems or thresholds that people with dyslexia and dyscalculia are facing.

In a co-creation process with various partners, imec-mict-UGent will seek both sensitizing solutions (immersive perception of the environment, both for education and the labor market) and remedial solutions. At least one of those solutions will be developed and tested.

More information about the project (in Dutch).
