innovation researchAs a research group driven by innovation in media & ICT, MICT‘s innovation research continuously seeks for optimal methodological approaches. We do this in close collaboration with industry and engineering groups in innovation projects.

Main goal is to capture, translate and disseminate user feedback to the relevant stakeholders during all stages of the innovation development process (opportunity identification, research & development, testing, launch, adoption and usage).

In this context, MICT always explores the opportunities to transcend traditional self-reporting methodologies or to bridge gaps between different traditions and schools of research (diffusion research, domestication research, Human-Computer Interaction, open innovation research, etc.).

This already resulted in the development of new methodological approaches for

  • the assessment of an innovation’s adoption potential
  • bridging the gap between Quality of Experience (QoE) and Quality of Service (QoS) measurements
  • living lab approaches
