On the 2nd of October Paul has started a 5 months Erasmus+ internship at the imec research group for Media, Innovation and Communication Technologies at Ghent University.

In July 2019 he obtained a Masters degree in Psychology at the University of Gdańsk (Poland). During the studies he did internships focusing on the diagnosis and rehabilitation of clinical patients with MCI, dementia and hospital patients suffering from brain trauma consequences

His main interests are Neuropsychology and Neurophysiology. He is very excited by the idea of using modern neuroimaging techniques to gain more knowledge about how our brain works and how it responds to all kind of situations/tasks in our everyday lives. He believes that getting more and more pieces of this „brain puzzle” will one day result in our lives being better, because we will understand the mechanisms that underline our cognition to a greater degree, not to mention all the clinical opportunities that will come along with it. Currently, Paul would like to focus on what is the impact of „ubiquitous” smartphones on our attention.
