National and international speakers will explain about (research/clinical) conservation efforts in nature and in captivity (zoos).

By establishing this event, we want to give an overview on potential career opportunities as well as increase awareness on past, current and future efforts in the light of wildlife conservation research and clinical efforts at our Faculty (and thus University), in Belgium and abroad.

We also want to honour the partnerships we have with several people and institutes, and hope to establish new partnerships as a result of this event.
With real-life stories, we want to show our vet students and other people with similar interests what’s possible without denying the potential pitfalls.

For those that wish to be actively involved in wildlife conservation, now or in the future, we aim to increase their chances on success by offering opportunities to talk to experts in different conservation-related fields, or get the coordinates of potential partners to contact later in their student- or professional career. This event is supported by Internationalisation@home, registration until 10-12-17.
