Join a free yoga session on international yoga day!

Program

You can attend two classes or pick one:

  • 12.30-13.30: Hatha yoga class (moving and stretching- all levels) with Dana Hawwash (PhD student at the faculty of Bioscience Engineering)
  • 13.30-14.00: Pranayama breathing exercises and meditation with Pankaj Sharma (MSc student at the faculty of Bioscience Engineering)

Please be on time!

What to bring

  • yoga mat
  • bottle of water
  • wear comfortable cloths
  • make sure to not over eat before the session, or to prepare and buy your lunch before the start of the session to have it ready after

Who are we?

  • Dana Hawwash  is a PhD student at the faculty of Bioscience Engineering. She is originally from Jerusalem and is a professional yoga teacher who offers yoga classes during lunch on Wednesdays at the academic clubroom at the faculty when the room is free and available.
  • Pankaj Sharma is a master’s student at the faculty of Bioscience engineering. He has completed professional yoga courses at different places in India and he also teaches yoga part time. Being an Indian, his whole childhood is connected to yoga learning and inspirations.

Why to yoga?

Yoga is an ancient practice that combines body movement with the breath, in a way that calms the mind and allows whatever is there, to be felt and lived as it unfolds in the present moment.

On the 21st of June, which is also the unique sun solstice day, it happens that it is recognized as “International Yoga Day”, and therefore we invite you to a free yoga, breathing and meditation session to celebrate the day, yourself, your body and your breath!
