Laura Matthews leads the nuclear receptor research group at the Institute of Medical Research at the University of Leeds, UK.

The seminar will cover recently published work describing how timing of Gc administration - chronotherapy - is important in controlling tissue specific transcription factor crosstalk.

Laura will describe unpublished work which demonstrates how rapidly induced cytoplasmic Gc signals can change cell function without the need for new transcription. Laura will also outline preliminary data from two pilot studies which shed light into (i) rapid Gc modulation of ‘global’ kinase signalling and (ii) heterogeneity in ‘global’ transcriptional Gc responses at the single cell level.
