The lecture of Prof. Mathieu Spérandio and Dr. Dana Ofiteru is organized on the occasion of the public defence of PhD candidate Mingsheng Jia.
Prof. Mathieu Spérandio is a professor in the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering at the National Institute of Applied Sciences (INSA Toulouse). He is the head of the team Microbial Ecosystem and Bioprocesses for Wastewater and Waste Management (SYMBIOSE). He is a management committee member of the IWA Specialist Group on Nutrient removal and recovery.
Dr. Dana Ofiteru is a Senior Lecturer in the School Engineering at Newcastle University. Prior to Newcastle, she was a lecturer in University Politehnica of Bucharest and spent sabbatical time in Masdar Institute, Abu Dhabi. She has a degree in biochemical engineering from the University Politehnica of Bucharest, where she also obtained her PhD with a thesis on optimization of bioprocesses.
