Northern Irish author Jan Carson, winner of the EU Prize for Literature for The Fire Starters in 2019, will be touring around Belgium and the Netherlands in March. Ghent university will be her final stop and we are happy to welcome her for an afternoon of reading and conversation.

The author will read some excerpts from her works and converse with the audience, with a Q&A session. A book signing is foreseen.

Her visit is part of the EFACIS Irish Itinerary. The EFACIS Irish Itinerary sends Irish authors and artists on tours throught Europe. This cultural initiative regularly organises coordinated events hosted by members of the vibrant community of EFACIS centres of Irish studies. The Irish Itinerary is modelled on the practice of the Irish monks of old, and in embracing this ancient tradition, takes it forward into the 21st Century.
