Lezing 'Meet the PhD jury: Preclinical and clinical assessment of psychedelics and stimulants'

Psychedelics, such as psilocybin and LSD, and entactogens, such as MDMA, have recently regained international attention as novel therapeutics for various neuropsychiatric disorders.

The Liechti group studies the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of classic psychedelics and entactogens in human subjects. Furthermore, the Laboratory focuses on the in vitro characterization (i.e., assessment of receptor and transporter interactions and investigation of drug metabolism) of classic and novel psychoactive substances with therapeutic potential or risk for abuse.
