Digital medieval urvan history lecture by Dr. Lorenzo Caravaggi (University of Oxford)

Friday May 7th 2021 (4pm CET), we welcome Dr. Lorenzo Caravaggi (University of Oxford, UK). He will present the research from his DPhil in a paper entitled 'How to keep the peace in a late medieval polity? The case of Bologna in the age of Dante'

Dr. Caravaggi studies politics, society, and cultures of conflict in thirteenth-century Italy. He focuses on Northern Italian "popolo" and the use of violence.
