For the November Lunch Lecture (Tuesday 14th, 12:00 – 13:00), the Pirenne Institute is happy to host Isabelle Cochelin from the University of Toronto. In her work, Isabelle Cochelin mainly investigates medieval monasticism from a socio-religious point of view. She has done a lot of research on monastic customaries. For our Institute she will speak about ‘The Enclosure of Men: Eleventh-Century Cluny and its septa, mura, castellum, and claustrum’.

The Lunch Lecture will take place in the usual venue (meeting room 1st floor UFo building) and between 12:00 - 13:00. As always, feel free to bring your own lunch, we'll provide coffee, tea and biscuits.
