Vote for archaeologist Jan Trachet for EOS Public Award!

(05-11-2019) Archaeologist Dr. Jan Trachet is nominated for the EOS Public Award for Science Communication (18 November)

On November 18, 2019, the EOS Awards for Science Communication will be awarded. Among the winners is our Dr. Jan Trachet, for his efforts in bringing archaeological research to the wider audience as 'Pourbus Troubadour' (a cycle tour with living room lectures, live blogs and an aftermovie).

Jan is especially known for his archaeological research into the lost harbour system in the Flemish "Zwin" area (the medieval harbours of Bruges) and his latest project on the sixteenth-century Pieter Pourbus map of the Franc of Bruges.

As a laureate of the EOS awards, Jan is also nominated for the Audience Award, which will be issued at the live ceremony on November 18th, in Brussels (Palace of the Academies).
