(17-01-2018) Lies Vervaet wins last prize for historical research of the province of East Flanders (2017).

On December 13, 2017, HPIMS medievalist dr. Lies Vervaet was awarded the last ever Prize for Historical Research of the Province of East Flanders. The jury awarded the prize for her PhD thesis on "Property Management in a Society in Flux: The Hospital of St John in Bruges, c. 1275 - c. 1575" (Dutch title: "Goederenbeheer in een veranderende samenleving. Het Sint-Janshospitaal van Brugge, ca. 1275 - ca. 1575").
