Prof. Oliver Dukes

Introduction

Prof. Oliver Dukes is a tenure track assistant professor at Ghent University in the Department of Mathematics, Computer Science, and Statistics. He graduated from Ghent University with a PhD in Statistical Data Analysis in 2019 and conducted postdoctoral research in the Department of Statistics and Data Science at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He develops methods for drawing causal inferences from observational and randomised trial data, with an emphasis on semiparametric estimation strategies. He has focused on learning causal effects with machine learning, causal inference with time-to-event outcomes, and reducing bias due to unmeasured confounding.
