Connecting Expertise Events

Objective

Connecting Expertise Events bring together researchers and experts to exchange complementary knowledge on interdisciplinary research topics. These events provide a platform for sharing tailored information, discussing emerging technologies, and exchanging expertise and best practices. By connecting the right people around shared research interests and challenges, we foster new collaborations, strengthen existing networks, and enhance the societal and scientific impact of our research.

For whom?

  • The event is open for all (post)doctoral researchers and ZAP-members from Ghent University, Ghent University Hospital and VIB-UGent departments.
  • Access is free.
  • If you are interested, sign up by means of the link underneath the event.

Program

  • 02/02/2027 - Stress and wellbeing - Cross-Health platform (XH)

Stress is studied across many different disciplines within UGent, yet researchers working on these topics are not always aware of each other's work. This Connecting Expertise event aims to connect these researchers to understand who does what within Ghent University (Colleges/Hospital), and which tools are available for stress research/applications. There will be excellent networking opportunities via short pitches interspersed with breaks.

Your connecting expertise event should meet the following criteria:

  • The aim of the event is to bring together experts with complementary expertise to exchange knowledge and perspectives on a specific interdisciplinary research topic.

    • The topic of the event must be related to faculty research, among others.

    • The expertise is shared via short pitches and networking opportunities, among others.
    • The event is (co-)organized by one or more members from the Faculty.
    • The event is open for all (post)doctoral researchers and ZAP-members from Ghent University, Ghent University Hospital and VIB-UGent departments.
    • The event is free.
