Prof. O’Doherty will give the plenary lecture during the 8th International Conference on Survivors of Rape (ICSoR, 3-5 June 2026).
Prof Lorna O'Doherty is a researcher at Coventry University with extensive expertise in sexual violence, trauma-informed care, and mixed-methods health research.
She has led and contributed to landmark studies on the evaluation of Sexual Assault Referral Centres in the UK, generating evidence on both clinical outcomes and survivor experiences.
Her work spans epidemiology, qualitative research, and co-production methodologies, making her uniquely positioned to address both the health systems and victim-centered dimensions of sexual assault care.
Prof O'Doherty has published widely in high-impact journals and contributed to policy development in the UK and internationally. Her research on power dynamics and cocreation with survivors of sexual violence has shaped best practices in participatory research ethics.
