CFP Conference Jacques Feyder

We are pleased to announce that CIMS is involved in the organization of this international conference dedicated to Jacques Feyder (1885-1948). The Belgian-French film director Feyder was considered one of the major European filmmakers of the 1920s–30s but is now almost forgotten.
This conference aims to revisit Feyder’s work, influence, and legacy within European and global cinema. The conference Jacques Feyder: Creator, Master, Patron will be held at the Centre culturel international de Cerisy (CCIC) in France, 2–5 June 2027, in collaboration with La Cinémathèque française, the CNC, Gaumont, Cinémathèque suisse, the Belgian Cinematek, the Fondation Jérôme Seydoux-Pathé, and the Centre Wallonie-Bruxelles.
Deadline for submission of proposals (maximum 2,000 characters + biographical and bibliographical note of 5 to 10 lines): April 30, 2026, to colloque.feyder.2027@protonmail.com.
