Dila Naz Madenoğlu holds a bachelor in Film & Television Studies from İstanbul Bilgi University, and a master’s degree in Film Studies from İstanbul University. On September 2018, Dila Naz Madenoğlu started her PhD at Ghent University, and became a member of the Centre for Cinema and Media Studies (CIMS). Her research is on transnational identities and their usage of social media according to the language they pick, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sofie Van Bauwel and Dr. Sander De Ridder. She focuses on the Turkish-German identities. The research explores if those transnational identities tend to change the way they present themselves on Twitter, via their language usage.
