Frida Saeys Prize 2023

 

CJS is proud to announce that one of its members, PhD fellow Maxine De Wulf Helskens, won this year's Frida Saeys Prize. This prize is awarded to scholars who conduct outstanding research in Gender and Media Studies. It was awarded during the conference ‘Etmaal van de Communicatiewetenschap’ in Enschede (The Netherlands) that took place on the 2nd and 3rd of February. Maxine received the prize for a study she conducted under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sarah Van Leuven (CJS) and Prof. Dr. Frederik Dhaenens (CIMS) into the representation of women journalists in fictional television series.
