Students crack the innovation code

(17-12-2018)

Our ‘New Media and Society’ students presented the outcome of the innovation challenges they have worked on between October and December. In cooperation with Proximus, In The Pocket, Mediawijs and emma.health the students were asked to come up with creative solutions for existing innovation challenges these organisations are faced with.

In addition to creating a proof-of-concept or prototype, students develop typically a sustainable business model and reflect critically on important social issues (such as privacy, security and trust). This year, students came up, among others, with a mobile augmented reality app that enriches our TV viewing experience and developed a toolkit for secondary schools to deal with smartphones.
