Jolien De Letter is a junior researcher at the research group for Media, Innovation and Communication Technologies (mict) at Ghent University. In 2016 she obtained a Master’s degree in Communication Sciences with a specialization in New Media. Her master dissertation involving predicting harassment victimization in online multiplayer games from survey data will be presented at the ICA 2017 conference in San Diego. After interning at the gaming cell of imec-mict for three months, Jolien joined our team as a full-time researcher in September 2016.

Past projects involved analysing data for improved user experience of the Wanagogo platform (Studio 100), conducting usability tests of a fantasy football website, and analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data to look into how a new generation of festival bracelets could improve organisational management and visitors’ experiences (iFest). Her current project concerns human-computer interaction experiments in an virtual reality environment.
